Happy Halloween!

This is Christophers first Halloween so he's determined to make it good. There's plenty of time for him to dress as Batman, or Elvis, or even the scariest of all, a Seattle liberal (he can't drive the crapped-out VW van yet). So, he's starting out where many before him have...Winnie the Pooh. He's got his first Halloween party tonight at the Little Gym...very exciting.

"Open your wallet and say ah"

He has also begun to enjoy diving head first into his laundry basket which, as of late, has held his stuffed animals. Oh, and he told his first joke this weekend. It went something like this. "dee dee da dee-uh duh duh...Hahahahaha" ( I may have screwed up the punch line, but I'm not sure.)

Christopher had a big weekend. Mommy gave a lecture thingie to a room full of Technologists and CPF2 and I took a stroll down along the piers at the cruise ship terminals. Apparently, the sights were interesting enough to inspire his first pointing. I didn't bother to tell him it was rude...there's still time for that.

Christopher spent last weekend on a brief trip to Arkansas, and though it doesn't show here, he's standing inthralled by a young brother and sister playing fiddle and guitar (they were really good!). Unfortunately he also appears to be bustin' a sag. We'll have to work on that. We flew out a week ago today and came back Monday. He was a phenom where baby travel is concerned...not a peep the whole way there or back. Unfortunately his nap/sleep schedule is still completely screwed up. It's killin' us. I guess it's worth the price not to have been kicked off the plane over Colorado...but I'm not sure.

Here we have young Christopher in deep meditation of his first balloon. Or, he's in deep meditation of his first Hooters girl, Nancy, from lunch yesterday. Either way, it's true, he does.

This is young Christopher in a generally happy moment. It's not often I get a good straight on shot of his smile, so, here.

Yep, that's right...elf practice.

Mommy and boy at a Mariners game

That expression pretty much says it.
