Here's Christopher with his Poppie on the 4th of July in Fayetteville showing that they indeed survived the cross country gauntlet.

Of course when you're in the Southwest, you've got to detour a bit down Route 66 and check out the sights. This is the Snow Cap in Seligman, AZ. Fun joint and authentic...good eats too.

During the course of the trip was Mommy & Daddy's 10th Anniversary so we declared it to be when we were in Las Vegas (not Luning). we escaped for a single night and stayed at this little dump...phenom! If you ever get the chance, knock over a bank and stay at this place. From the time I made the reservations till we walked into our room, I think we got comp upgrades about 3 times. They were VERY excited about our anniversary.

Another interesting (depending on your definition) site along the way from Seattle to Fayetteville. This is the corner of 1st & Main in Luning, Nevada (if you look closely, you'll see that there is a street sign there) Something aboutthat sign out in the middle of the SW Nevada desert struck me as exceedingly amusing. You've never experienced oppressive heat till you've been there either. It's the only place that the dogs ever turned around to go back inside the RV, BEFORE actually making it down the steps to the ground.
