Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

Somebody had a fantastic time running through the muddy fields and he just loves pretty flowers!

Just a beautiful day.

If you think you'll never get to Holland, there are places a little closer...well, for some. Another amazing thing is that these aren't going out to stores. They're fully bloomed.

On Saturday, we took Christopher up to Mount Vernon (about an hour north of Seattle) to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It's fairly phenomenal to step into a 22 acre field that has nothing but tulips.

We went out Salty's on Alki Beach for Easter brunch. Christopher is checking out the view of the skyline from the deck. I can assure you he was the only little boy in Seattle dressed up for Easter southern-style, complete with knee socks. All the fabulous people thought he was fabulous too...at 16 months, I'm down with that. Fashion is not a crime though there are many offenders.

All set and ready to help his mommy make cookies for the first time. Nothing goes as well without a helper, that's for sure.

Here we have young Christopher at the end of a particularly busy day."Oh no, I'm too big to take my naps!" He literally fell asleep in his dinner.
